Dr. Mohamed Hamadikinane Maiga is currently working as the Head of Undergraduate Programme, Faculty of Shariah & Law, University Islam Sultan Sharif Ali, Brunei Darussalam. He holds a doctorate degree in Fiqah and its Principles from Dar Al-Hadith Al-Hassania for Higher Islamic Studies in Rabat, Morocco, in 1423 AH: 2003 CE. He also holds a Fiqah and its Principles from Dar Al-Hadith Al-Hassania for Higher Islamic Studies in Rabat – Morocco in the year 1419 AH corresponding to: 1999 AD. He obtained his BA in Sharia from the Faculty of Sharia, Islamic University of Madinah in the year 1417 AH: 1997AD. He has combined teaching experience, writing, administrative work and academic activities for more than sixteen years until now. During these years, he authored more than sixty research papers between peer-reviewed books and peer-reviewed research in specialized international journals and others in international and national conferences with scientific committees. He has done research and books in the field of “Usul al-Fiqh” or “al-Fiqh wa Usuluho.” He published papers in international refereed journals, and he is a member of the advisory body for international journals in Turkey. He is also a founding member of the Union of African Scholars. He headed the Resource Development Department at the Islamic University of Niger from 2008-2010. He also held the position of chairing the Sharia program at the Faculty of Sharia and Law at the Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University in Brunei Darussalam from 2015-2018 and 2019-2020. He also headed the postgraduate program at the same Faculty – where he is currently working – from 2018-2019.
