Background
The 2nd International Conference of Islamic Studies-2021 (ICIS-2021) has a central theme of addressing the concepts of leadership from the Islamic perspective aiming at providing a theoretical framework for practical application in the contemporary world. Generally, leadership plays a pivotal role in achieving the sustainable outcomes for institutions and organizations. Islamic concept of leadership is solely devoted to produce role model leaders for professional and social settings in accordance with the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him). In a nutshell, the ultimate goal of leadership in Islam is to nurture righteous leaders, transform leadership, establish social justice, preserve public good, protect social benefits and promote lawful (Halal) earning in all walks of life.
The conference (ICIS-2021) is an international refereed conference dedicated to inculcating Islamic theory into practice in the field of leadership. It will provide an opportunity for scholars, academicians, educationists and professionals of national and international backgrounds with inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary interests to bridge the knowledge gap, promote research innovation, develop conceptual understandings, improve leadership design, and promote collaborative excellence. The conference will serve the purpose of facilitating leadership domains by linking Islamic theoretical framework into practice for social welfare. The conference is organized by the Department of Islamic Studies (DIS), I-14 Campus, Islamabad, Riphah International University, Pakistan. The national and international scholars are invited to submit their abstracts and research papers in three languages, i.e., Arabic, English, and Urdu. The sub-themes of the conference include:
